Uplifting motor vehicles
The Enforcement Team is empowered to remove motor vehicles under certain circumstances.
- If a vehicle is displaying an invalid tax disc
- If the vehicle appears to have been abandoned
- If the Vehicle appears to be in a dangerous condition
- If the vehicle is causing an obstruction
If you would like to contact the Enforcement Team please use one of the

Alternatively call Stockton Councils 24 hour CCTV Control Room 01642 528989 to leave a non urgent message 24 hours a day for a follow up response during operating hours.
Before a vehicle can be returned relevant documentation must be brought to the Enforcement Office
- A form of identification ( passport or driving licence)
- Vehicle Registration document or receipt from DVLA Office *
- If vehicle is to be claimed by a person other than the vehicle owner, then a letter of authorisation from the registered keeper must be produced.
* If the applicant does not have the Vehicle registration document then they must approach the DVLA Office, St. Mark's House, St. Mark's Court, Thornaby. TS17 6QR. Tel. 0870 8500007 and complete a V62 form - a fee of £25 must be paid at the DVLA office. The DVLA will provide a receipt.
A fee must be paid to reclaim any vehicle that has been removed.
