Social Services provide comprehensive advice and assistance to their clients. True advocacy is undertaken by independent agencies.Adult service users and their carers can benefit from the free service of an independent 'Representational Advocacy Worker'. Details on how to access this service can be obtained from the Citizens Advice Bureau. Children and young people can contact 'NYAS' (National Youth Advocacy Service), who provide an independent and confidential advocacy service on behalf of Social Care and Health on Freephone Helpline 0800 616 101 or access via the external links.
