Stockton Parent Support

Stockton Parent Support.
Stockton Parent Support is a group of parents with disabled children. Formed in June 1999, we aim to promote and develop parent ideas for improving the services and opportunities for children with disabilities in Stockton on Tees. We provide Information, Support and Activities for disabled children and their families. We are an umbrella group for the parent led support groups throughout Stockton. In 2004 we became a registered Charity. We have information days, professional forums, training for parents, and have developed inclusive activities so that our children can learn and play alongside other children.

The success of our activities has led to expansion, with the funding support of the Children's Fund. Our aim is to create more after school and holiday activities for mainstream and disabled children. Future projects include more dance/drama groups, an Arts and Crafts club, cheerleading and music.

We are always looking for reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to help at these activities. We provide training and regular support for each volunteer. If you have any spare time and would like to help us please contact us on telephone (01642) 878137.
