Promoting Play Throughout Stockton

St John’s Community Partnership’s, Progressive Leisure Activities for Youngsters (P.L.A.Y.) and Junior Youth Inclusion (JYIP) Projects, continue to deliver activity sessions to 300 regular attendees over the Stockton area, and offer more intensive support to children during school time sessions.

To continue our involvement in Stockton Riverside Carnival, children and staff will represent the project, and we will be closing the summer activities with an exhibition of children’s artwork from the previous year, in the Green Dragon Yard. The organisation continues to encourage participation at all levels, in addition to offering volunteering opportunities, parental and community involvement enables us to meet the ever-changing needs of the local communities.

Anyone wanting to help shape the project, parents and children are invited to offer their ideas and suggestions for activities to be incorporated into the sessions. The project is looking to celebrate its participation ethos by aiming to achieve the investors in children kite mark.

The more directed element of the project our JYIP continues to be well attended, helping children with a variety of issues to work on and positively manage their behaviour. For further information about the activities or to volunteer with the organisation please contact Julie Bratt or Angela Twomey on 356387.
