Chatter Matters

Chatter Matters.
The 'Chatter Matters' project supplies a range of 40 themed resource bags to schools for families to borrow on a weekly basis. The bags promote family interaction, speaking, listening and social skills by providing parents with fun activities to do with their children which promote learning. Each bag includes one book, a game centred on the book, suggestions for activities and craft materials, with the aim of raising standards of communication and literacy skills. Games and activity sheets are included to develop early reading and numerical skills.

The following schools are taking part:

· Tilery

· St Gregory's

· Harrow Gate

· Mill Lane

· Redbrook

· Roseworth

· St Bede's

· St John's

· Hardwick

Teaching assistants provide support and help to parents, explaining how each bag should be used to improve children's learning.
