Adaptations for people with disabilities
To apply for adaptations to your home you will need to contact the
First Contact Unit on 01642 527764. They will complete a referral form on
your behalf and forward your request to the occupational therapy team.
Alternatively use the Request form.
An occupational therapist or therapy assistant will recommend the most cost
effective solution to meet your needs.
Who will ensure that the requested work to adapt my home for by disability are carried out?
In the case of Low Cost Essential Works (work under £300) to Tristar Homes
and major adaptations(over £300) in both Tristar Homes and the private
sector (owner occupiers and private rented tenants) all referrals are dealt
with by the Private Sector Housing Division.
The Occupational Therapy team deal with Low Cost Essential Works (under
£300) in the Private Sector and provide various types of equipment to allow
clients live independently in their homes.
