Social Care (Social Services)

Social Care (previously known as Social Services) offers support to many people in a wide range of circumstances. To ensure users and carers can access the services they need we work together with health colleagues in Stockton and the North East.

Everyone can get information and advice from us, and many people receive further help.
We support the following groups of people.

  • Vulnerable people
  • Children in need
  • People with disabilities
  • Carers of all ages
  • People with alcohol and drug issues
  • People with learning disabilities
  • People with mental health issues

Most of the support we give is aimed at enabling people to maintain their independence and quality of life, in their own home in their local community.

To get help from us:
1
Telephone our First Contact Unit and ask to speak to an Access Officer.
2 Call into our First Contact Office
3 Complete and submit the 'Request for Contact from Social Care' form below
4 There is an  emergency out of hours service if you need EMERGENCY support outside of office hours

When you speak to one of our Access Officers they will listen to you and may ask you some personal details. The kinds of things that they could ask you include, do you have somebody who helps or cares for you?

Opening Hours
Monday to Thursday : 8:30 to 5:00 and Friday : 8:30 to 4:30

There is also an emergency out of hours service.
