Social Care (Social Services)

Children Education and Social Care (CESC - previously known as Social Services) offers support to many people in a wide range of circumstances.
Everyone can get information and advice from us, and many people receive further help. In delivering help we work very closely with our colleagues in Health

We support the following groups of people.

  • Older People
  • People with disabilities
  • Carers of all ages
  • People with alcohol and drug issues
  • People with learning disabilities
  • People with mental health issues
  • Children in need

Most of the support we give is aimed at enabling people to maintain their independence and quality of life, in their own home in their local community.

To get help from us:
1
Telephone our First Contact Unit and ask to speak to an Access Officer.
2 Call into our First Contact Office
3 Complete and submit the 'Request for Contact from Social Care' form below
4 There is an emergency out of hours service if you need EMERGENCY support outside of office hours

When you speak to one of our Access Officers they will listen to you and provide information and advise regarding what support may be available.
Opening Hours
Monday to Thursday : 8:30 to 5:00 and Friday : 8:30 to 4:30
