Hydroelectric Power
Hydro-Electric power, as the name suggests is electrical energy obtained
from the movement of water.
Hydro-Power was the mainstay of power generation for hundreds of years
before the advent of fossil fuels and could well be again now that the
problems of climate change are becoming ever more apparent.
The easiest way to imagine this is an old-fashioned water wheel
connected to a generator a bit like the dynamo on a bicycle.
These days the technology has advanced in such a way that a small unit can
provide power for your home.
