energywatch is the independent gas and electricity consumer watchdog. They can help with you with complaints and issues regarding gas and electricity suppliers.
Set up by the Utilities Act (2000) to be an advocate for consumers in the gas and electricity markets, they receive a grant from the Department of Trade and Industry, which is derived from the licence fee that energy companies have to pay to the government.
This makes energywatch accountable to the DTI for the work they do and the money they spend on your behalf.
