Environmental Advice

The Environmental Health service provides advice on a range of environmental issues:

Providing advice to other Stockton Council services - during emergency incidents and with regard to proposed projects.

As a consultee - providing input on all planning applications to ensure environmental legislation is met. We also contribute to the licensing issues such as Public Entertainment Licences and Environmental Agency Authorisations and Permits.

To members of the public - we provide advice and information to people of all ages.

Public Register - we maintain details of all 'authorised processes' in this area, which is available for people to view, at no cost. Information about potentially polluting industries can also be found within the Environment Agency website.

Environmental information - for a small administration charge, we will carry out an Land Quality Information search to find about environmental related issues linked to an area of land. Contact us to find out more.
