Household Waste Recycling Centre (Haverton Hill)
Stockton Council and Middlesbrough Council provide a facility for household waste and recycling at Haverton Hill, in Billingham.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre can be used by the residents of both councils for the disposal of household waste and recyclable materials.
The site is NOT OPEN to commercial vehicles or traders. It is against the law for businesses not to make suitable arrangements with a licensed waste disposal company.

The site is a popular venue for recycling items not collected from the kerbside, so please be aware that at peak times you may have a short wait as many other like-minded residents use the facility to recycle unwanted things.

Do I need a permit for the Household Waste Recycling Centre?
Residents using vans or two axle trailers require site permits before visiting the site.
There are restrictions on the number of visits that can be made by vans and trailers:
- Vans : A maximum of 12 permits each year. We will only issue a maximum of three permits to one household every seven days.
- Twin-axle trailers: A maximum of six permits each year. We will only issue a maximum of three permits to one household every seven days.

Please note, from Tuesday 1 May 2012, there will be a £20 charge for vans and twin axle trailers wanting to dispose of brick and rubble at the site.
