- It is vital that we respond to the views of our customers. Our aim is to deliver services that our residents actually require and to do this we need to communicate effectively with all customers. Many areas of our work have evolved as a direct result of suggestions from customers, such as the move toward a more manual form of cleansing (more litter-pickers).
- Are you unhappy with any of our service areas or about the way in which you have been dealt with? If so, you have the right to make a complaint about our service area. To do this, you can either contact the Care for Your Area team directly or by using the Council's on-line complaints form.
- If you submit a complaint, we will ensure that we acknowledge your complaint within 48hours, giving you a unique reference number. We will then aim to reply in full to your concerns within a further 5 working days, however, if our investigations are going to take longer to complete, we will make sure that you are kept updated. If you contact us via e-mail with a comment, suggestion, complaint or a compliment, we will respond within 24 hours.
- We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of customer service and have tried to deliver a range of cleansing and environmental services which meet the requirements of our residents, visitors and businesses. Our Service has recently been successful in achieving national and local successes in terms of customer care awards, through the national Charter Mark Award for excellent in Customer Services, as well as being the first service within the Council to successfully complete the corporate Customer First programme.
