Britain in Bloom 2012
Great news for 2012! Last year Stockton-on-Tees were announced Britain in Bloom gold medal winners for the second time. This success has led to an invitation from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) for Stockton to take part in the prestigious 2012 Britain in Bloom 'Champion of Champions' Finals.
This will provide us all once again with the opportunity to showcase our achievements in environmental awareness, community participation and of course horticultural excellence.
Judging will take place in August, with the results being announced by the RHS in October.
Northumbria in Bloom 2012
The Northumbria in Bloom regional competition is open to Local Councils, Parish Councils and 'Bloom Committees' across the North East.
Our three main townships, Stockton Centre, Thornaby and Billingham are once again taking part in this years regional competition.
Judging for the competition takes place in the Spring and early Summer the results will be announced in September 2012.
In addition those community groups and associations who are entered into this years 'It's Your Neighbourhood' campaign will also be judged early Summer the results of which will be announced October 2012.
