Stockton Council is responsible for maintaining the highway drainage system, this includes road and footpath gullies and drains and also roadside drainage ditches.
We inspect and maintain surface water gullies across the Stockton Borough. This includes:
- Cleaning once a year - in some cases we need to do this more frequently
- Assess reported blocked gullies
- Assess associated reported flooding
- Minor repairs to road drains
