Collecting your Rubbish

Some information that you may find helpful:

• You will receive a weekly domestic refuse collection.
  
• We will issue you with either one wheeled bin or a supply of refuse sacks in order for you to dispose of your refuse. Replacement wheeled bins will cost £25 each including VAT and delivery.
  
• Your refuse needs to be left out on the day of collection by 7am, and should be removed as soon as possible after it is emptied. If you work, please ensure that you take it in as soon as you get home or ask someone else in the household to take it in. You can be issued with a fixed penalty fine of £75 for leaving your wheeled bin in the street.
  
• To ensure that we collect your rubbish, you need to place it at the edge of your property (where the pavement meets the boundary of your home). If we have to collect your rubbish from somewhere else we will contact you to tell you about this.
  
• We offer an Assisted Refuse Collection Service for those customers who are unable to wheel their bin to the collection point and there are no other able bodied people in the house. If you would like to be considered for this service, please contact us.
  
• We collect refuse from Tuesday through to Friday which means that no disruptions to our services result from Monday Bank Holidays. Easter Friday is regarded as a normal working day.
  
• Disruptions to the service will be kept to an absolute minimum - where refuse collection days will alter as a result of Christmas holidays, we will advertise your revised collection dates on the website as well as in the local press.
  
• We offer commercial waste collection services for local businesses in the Borough. Why not contact us and we will discuss your individual business requirements.
  
• You can now order your clear waste sacks on line via on-line payments. Follow the instructions on the screen. They are £2.00 for a roll of 26 sacks. A minimum order of 5 rolls will be delivered within 5 working days.
