Handover of Animals

If you cannot keep your animal for whatever reason, the Animal Welfare Service offers a confidential handover service for any animal.

We provide this service to prevent unwanted animals being unnecessarily abandoned. We will collect, free of charge, and re-home (where possible) any animal by prior appointment.

However, it must be noted that if for any reason the animal is not a re-homeable prospect, then the owner must give permission for that animal to be put to sleep.  This is dependent on a variety of factors and will be explained before the animal is signed and handed over to the care of the Animal Welfare Service.
