What will I find at Stockton Central Library?
Built at a cost of £250,000, Stockton Central Library first opened its doors to the public on 24 March 1969.
Its outstanding architecture was highly praised and led to it receiving an award from the Civic Trust. Serving the Borough for more than 40 years, the library has now been given a new lease of life as part of the Stockton Customer Service Centre.
Preserving the best of the original structure and features, and with its state of the art technology, self-issue kiosks and innovative design, this refurbishment marks the start of a new era in the delivery of Library and Information Services to the people of Stockton.
