Tesco - Ingleby Barwick Community Access Point

Access to Services Programme

The programme is a complex project bringing together, staff, technology, information and buildings to benefit the Council’s customers. Implementation is in 3 phases:

  • Phase 1 – establish the management structure (complete), implement the telephone contact centre (complete), one Multi Service Centre in Thornaby (December 2008) , one pilot community access point at Ingleby Barwick (complete) and launch Customer First Stage 2 (complete).
  • Phase 2 (2009) – open the second Multi Service Centre in Stockton and, following a review of the pilot, start the roll-out of Community Access Points.
  • Phase 3 – (2010) open the third Multi Service Centre and complete the roll-out of the Borough wide network of Access Points.
