Dial a Ride

Dial a Ride is a door-to-door accessible transport service for people who have some form of physical, mental or sensory problem, which makes it difficult or impossible for them to independently use public transport. High standards of reliability and safety are constantly maintained. No smoking is allowed on the vehicles, seatbelts must be worn at all times. ( Unless you have a medical exemption certificate that must be shown to each driver when you travel.) If you travel in a wheelchair it will be securely clamped and a passenger seatbelt will be used. The drivers will help carrying shopping but please note the amount of shopping will be limited due to space on the vehicles. We do not carry bulky items.

Where and When Does it Operate?
You decide where you want to travel. It can be anywhere within the boundaries of Stockton-on-Tees Borough and also Teesside Retail Park. You can travel any day of the week. The first pick up time is 08.30am each day and the latest is 09.00pm. The service operates every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

How do I Book a Journey?
Call the Dial-a-Ride Booking Line. The telephone booking line will be open:

This is a popular service, journeys are booked on a first come first served basis. We will always try our best to give you the journey times that you require but cannot guarantee the exact time will be available. The more flexible you can be the better chance you have of getting your journey. It would be helpful if you were prepared for the bus to arrive 10 minutes earlier or later than your time given to allow for the varying traffic conditions and unexpected delays.

If you have to cancel your journey please give as much notice as possible.

How Much Will It Cost?
Each journey you make will be ZONE 1 £1.10
ZONES 2/3 £1.30
