Domestic Violence

Tackling domestic violence

The Safer Stockton Partnership has produced its second Domestic Violence Strategy setting out its work to reduce harm to victims and their families.

The strategy covers the three year period from 2005-2008.

In Stockton, Harbour is the main provider of services for those living with domestic abuse. The organisation offers support through refuge services, adult and children's outreach services, sexual violence counselling and a male perpetrator programme. In addition to this direct support, Harbour also works to educate the wider community about the issues surrounding domestic abuse by providing training to statutory and voluntary agencies.
