Community Safety Plan 2008-2011 Priorities

The Safer Stockton Partnership, your Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, produces a Community Safety Plan every three years, currently running from 2008-2011. This Plan is refreshed yearly and updated to incorporate information from the annual Partnership Strategic Assessment and Neighbourhood Policing Priorities. An Annual Report is published each year in the summer edition of Stockton News.

The current Community Safety Priorities were selected by residents of the Borough during consultation in the summer of 2007 through the 'Tackling Crime and Disorder Audit' survey and influenced by our First Partnership Strategic Assessment and Neighbourhood Policing Priorities. The key priorities for the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees are:-

1. Anti-Social Behaviour

2. Drug Related Crime

3. Violent Crime

4. Criminal Damage

5. Diverting Young People from Offending

6. Our sixth priority theme will be emerging issues. Within this priority we will use intelligence to assess issues identified through the yearly Strategic Assessment and Neighbourhood Policing Priorities. In 2008-2009 we will focus on Other Theft, in particular theft of mobile phones, wheelie bins, theft of metals and shoplifting.

For more information on the Community Safety Plan please contact a member of the Community Safety Team using the contact details on the right on side of the page.
