Crime Survey 2010

The crime audit takes place every three years and offers residents the opportunity to have their say about what matters most to them - whether it's crime, anti-social behaviour or drugs.

Safer Stockton Partnership - Crime & Disorder 2010The latest survey dropped through residents' letterboxes in August 2010 and provided an opportunity for residents to help us and the community identify areas of possible concern.

A number of roadshow events and drop-in sessions were held to raise awareness resulting in 5,222 responses to the survey.

This year, residents raised six key issues as priorities:

  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)
  • Alcohol related crime and ASB
  • Violent crime
  • Drug related offending
  • Criminal damage
  • Domestic violence

The last crime audit, in 2007, identified five key priorities:

  • Anti-social behaviour
  • Criminal damage
  • Drug abuse
  • Violent crime
  • Diverting young people from offending

The combined efforts of the Safer Stockton Partnership have already made great progress on these targets, to make Stockton the safest place to live in the Tees Valley.
