For many of the services we offer, such as Family History Research or Applications for Memorial Works, we use a set of response targets or 'Performance Indicators'.
These targets can help us to prioritise our daily workload, but we also monitor our performance againt our targets, to allow us to see where improvements to our service can be made.
Our monitoring process allows us to quickly identify any area in which we have not achieved our target on every occasion, and the information recorded helps us to find out the reasons for this. We can then look at ways to improve this aspect of our service, for example, by providing additional information at the time of application, or by reviewing our system for dealing with that particular application or enquiry.
