The Conservation and Historic Environment Folder is divided into sections covering all aspects of historic sites, buildings and monuments in the area. It seeks to simplify the legislation surrounding them, the role they play within the Borough, and what can be done to maintain them for future generations to enjoy.
The Folder includes aspects of protection, such as Conservation Areas and Listed Buildings, Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans. The folder also introduces a new protection: the Local List where buildings of local interest may be afforded a degree of protection.
The folder is a particularly large document. You can download each of its chapters below free of charge, or purchase a copy from Planning Reception at the above address. The documents can also be inspected at Planning Reception and the Borough's libraries.
