The Regeneration Development Plan Document will allocate land for specific uses such as housing and employment. It will provide site specific policies which will be used when applications for housing, employment and mixed use development are determined. There will also be policies for other land uses if they may be affected by, or will affect the modes or patterns of transport.
We consulted on our Issues and Options Report in Autumn 2007 and received representations from over 300 individuals and organisations. The consultation documents are available to download below. We are currently processing and considering the representations in order to produce a Preferred Options Report during 2008.
Implications of the new Planning Policy Statement 12 and Regulations
We had expected to be consulting on our Preferred Options for the Regeneration DPD in September 2008. However, due to the introduction of the new system and other priorities, we are not going to meet this deadline.
We will be revising our Local Development Scheme and setting a new timetable for this document. The new timetable will be published in due course and will be advertised on our Spatial Planning News and Consultation page.
