What happens if my plans are rejected?

If your plans are rejected, you will be given the opportunity to redesign the proposed scheme and provide the required information. The Building Control department is available to give advice in order to help you comply with current regulations

N.B. In exceptional circumstances when the scheme requires a major redesign to comply with the regulations, occasionally a new application may need to be submitted and another fee charged. This is because a complete re-check will be required, in order to establish whether the revised scheme complies with the regulations

If you disagree with the reasons for rejection, you may
appeal to the Secretary of State for a determination of the regulation(s) in question
