How long does it take to obtain approval?
All full Building Control applications will either be approved or rejected within five weeks (not including public holidays) from the deposit date - providing the correct fee has been includedand the application is valid
In order to resolve any problems, we may contact you to request further information. This is normally done within two to three weeks from the submission of application. You may
however request additional time for this and the period will be extended for up to eight weeks
Occasionally, if there are major problems which cannot easily be resolved, we may need to reject the application
Most domestic extensions under 40m2 in floor area, are processed via our Fast Track procedure within 4 working days - after which, the application will either be approved, approved with conditions, or if there are various problems that require alterations to the drawings, we will contact you via letter, telephone or email.
