There are two ways of making an application:-
For work to dwellings either a Full Plans or a Building Notice application can be made.
For work to other buildings a Full Plans application must be made unless the work is to a building not subject to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, then a Building Notice application can be made.
You can submit an application online including the forms, plans and fee and you can then track the progress of the application through the plan checking/approval process.
Or, you can download/complete the forms online:
and mail the plans to us separately.
The application forms are also available from the Building Control office located in Gloucester House, Church Road, Stockton. The completed forms together with the plans and appropriate fee, can then be submitted to us either by mail, or in person, directly to the office in Church Road.
An alternative way of submitting a Building Regulation application online is via the submitaplan.com web site, but you cannot submit the fee or track the progress of the application using this service.
