Stockton Borough Council makes paying your council tax, housing rents, business rates, invoices, housing advances and parking fines as simple as clicking your mouse.
Transactions take place within a secure payment system using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and are backed by National Westminster Streamline.
To continue to Online Payments your browser must support high encryption. Please check that your current connection is at least 128 bit.
Internet Explorer Users
Please note that all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer below version 4.0 do NOT support 128-bit encryption. If your Internet Explorer version is lower than 4.0, then you must
upgrade Internet Explorer.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher:
- Open your browser's window.
- Click on the "Help" option at the top of your browser.
- Click on the "About Internet Explorer" option (from the drop-down list).
- A window will pop up giving information about your browser. In this window there will a line that starts with "Cipher Strength:". If the number on this line is less than 128 then you will need to download the Internet Explorer High Encryption Pack. (Download approximately 3 minutes).
- Close the "About..." window by clicking on the "OK" button.
Netscape Users
- Open your browser's window.
- Click on the "Help" option at the top of the browser.
- Click on "About Netscape", "About Navigator" or "About Communicator" option (from the drop-down list).
- You will be taken to a page that tells you about your browser. On this page you must have a section of text that states:
"This version supports high-grade (128-bit) security with RSA Public Key Cryptography, DSA, MD2, MD5, RC2-CBC, RC4, DES-CBC, DES-EDE3-CBC." - If you don't have this you will need to upgrade Netscape.
