Discussing your tenants benefit claim
We can only give you information about your tenants housing benefit claim if you are receiving your tenants benefit direct from us or they have given us written permission to do so. We can tell you;
- if they have made a claim for housing benefit,
- if we have made a decision about their claim,
- if we are waiting information for their claim for benefit,
- the start date and end date of their claim,
- the weekly amount of benefit,
- the dates and method of payment of housing benefit,
- changes to the amount of their housing benefit,
- if their claim is suspended,
- if we stop paying their benefit to you.
We cannot tell you any personal household or financial details.
If you do not receive direct payments or your tenant has not given us written permission, we are unable to provide any information.
The form below can be completed by your tenant to give permission to share information with you. Tenants can withdraw their permission to share information at any time.
If you receive direct payments of housing benefit you can register to use our online service to view your Housing Benefit payments.
