To avoid receiving a reminder notice for late payment, your instalments must be paid on the due dates shown on your bill. If your account is not brought up to date after a reminder notice, a summons will be issued for the remaining full year's charge, and costs will be added.
Only one reminder notice will be issued during the current financial year, and should you default on your payments again later in the year, your right to pay by instalments will automatically cease on the day of default.
If you receive a summons, the Council will apply to the Magistrates' Court for a liability order. This could result in your account being passed to the Bailiffs for collection.
