Payment

Business rates are payable in ten monthly instalments - April to January. You can choose to pay yearly if you wish.

If you move in through the financial year the number of instalments payable for that year may be reduced.

Direct Debit - to pay by Direct Debit click on the download at the bottom of this page. We will then arrange for your payments to be collected from your bank account on the 1st day of each month.

In Person - you can pay by cheque or cash at any one of our cash offices located at Billingham town centre housing office, Thornaby central library and Municipal Buildings Stockton. Cash office opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm.

By Post - send your cheques, money orders and postal orders to Stockton Borough Council, PO Box 500, STOCKTON-ON-TEES, TS18 1WA. Please make these payable to 'Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council' and remember to quote your Non-Domestic Rate account number on the back of the cheque.Post-dated cheques will not be accepted.

By Telephone - to make payment via our 24 hour telephone payments line ring 0845 130 3990, select option 3 Business Rates, and follow the instructions given. Land line calls are charged at a local rate.
