Renting from a Private Landlord
If you are renting your home from a private landlord or Registered Social Landlord we can pay your Housing Benefit;
- direct into an account, or
- by cheque
Payments are generally fortnightly in arrears. A form to pay benefit into an account can be printed off below.
We may be able to pay your benefit direct to your landlord. Special rules apply if you are on Local Housing Allowance.
If you are not on Local Housing Allowance and would like us to pay benefit to your landlord, complete the Direct Payment to Landlord form below. Your landlord will also need to sign it to confirm that he or she is willing to accept the payments direct. Payments will be made direct to your landlord every 4 weeks for the previous four weeks.
Renting from the Council or Tristar Homes
If you are renting your home from the Council or Tristar Homes we will pay your rent rebate directly onto your rent account on a weekly basis.
Council Tax Benefit
