Enforcement Team

A new enforcement team that will tackle a wide range of nuisance and environmental crime has been established to patrol the borough's streets.
Stockton Council's Enforcement Unit was launched in April and will take advantage of new legislation that gives the council powers to crack down on litter dropping, dog fouling, abandoned cars, graffiti, and noise nuisances.
The team comprises 20 Neighbourhood Enforcement Officers, 2 Enforcement Support Officers and 4 volunteers from Black & Minority Ethnic groups. There are also 4 accredited Parish Council Wardens patrolling Ingleby Barwick. The team has at its disposal a fleet of vehicles fitted with internal and external cameras and microphones.
Accredited by the Police, the Enforcement Team works closely with the following agencies:
- Cleveland Police
- VOSA (Vehicle & Operator Services Agency)
- DVLA (Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency)
- Trading Standards
- Environmental Health
- The Environment Agency
- Care for Your Area
- Fire Brigade
