Terraced property improved as part of urban renewal programme Property after works have been completed.

A number of years ago Stockton Council introduced a new environmental facelift project in the Parkfield area. This has enhanced he aim of the project is to enhance the appearance of the housing, by undertaking external improvements to the front elevation of properties and to gable elevations where they are present.

The type of work that is carried out as part of the Facelift Scheme includes:

  • Renewal of gutters and rainwater pipes.
  • Brick cleaning and re-pointing.
  • Re-painting of stonework, external woodwork, doors & windows (where appropriate).
  • Renewal of garden walls & gates (where provided).
  • Paving of garden area or provision of top soil.

To date the following areas have benefited from facelift improvements:

  • Walter Street
  • The Groves
  • Hope Street
  • Parkview


Phase
2

  • Roker Terrace
  • Sun Street
  • Cranbourne Terrace
  • Spring Street
  • Springholme Terrace


Phase 3

  • Lightfoot Grove
  • Trinity Street
  • Westcott Street
  • Bowsfield Lane (1 - 13)


Phase 4

  • Varo Terrace
  • Egglestone Terrace
  • Leybourne Terrace
  • Manfield Street


Phase 5 and 5a

  • Hartington Road


The scheme has been a fantastic success and greatly welcomed by the residents taking part. If you are an owner of one of the properties identified for inclusion in the Facelift Project for 2006/07, works will be offered to you FREE OF CHARGE. Landlords will be expected to pay a contribution of £250.00 towards the cost of the work. If you would like to know more about the project, please contact Accent Regeneration on 01642 231414 who have been appointed by the Council to manage the project and ask for Janice Hawkins or Tracy Bowstead.
