Financial support for school students

 

County Alderman Worsley Scholarship

This was established in 1947, to help students living in Thornaby, who need financial help to pursue a course of study. Applications are considered by a panel of Council Members and must be submitted before 30 September each year.

Do you qualify?

If you are a student:

  • who lives in the former Borough of Thornaby
  • over 17 years of age and
  • studying or about to study at University or FE College etc.

Yarm Grammar School Trust

This was established in 1983, to help students under 25 with their study costs. The Trustees meet twice a year (each January and July) to consider applications and make awards.

Do you qualify?

If you are a student:

  • who lives in the parish of Yarm
  • under 25 years of age and
  • studying or about to study at University or FE College etc.
