Creditor Invoice Payments

The Payments Section forms part of the Procurement and Payments section within Finance and is based at Kingsway House, Billingham.

We act on behalf of all of the Authority's service groups, issuing payments to suppliers of goods and services on their behalf.

Within the Payments Section we perform the core control functions in relation to the processing and payment of invoices and the paying over of Income Tax for Sub-Contractors.

The Payments Section consists of a busy team of staff processing over 150,000 invoices annually as well as balancing and posting out cheques in respect of Housing Benefit and Care in the Community payments and Council Tax refunds.
