Approved List for Homecare and Support Services Contracts
Stockton on Tees Borough Council has a duty to deliver the highest possible
quality of service to our customers in receipt of Home care and Support
Services, including customers who have been assessed as needing a Domestic
Support Service, adopting a flexible approach to customer's individual self
assessed needs. Our long term aims are founded on supporting each customer
and their carers to continue to live in their own home and in their chosen
community, by enabling each customer to maintain their independence and
preserve their quality of life.
It is the Councils intention to add successful providers to the Councils
preferred providers list in meeting the Councils vision for self directed
support services. This will enable customers to have choice and control
over the services they select and purchase.
Any new provider may apply to be added to the approved list and must
complete a process of Accreditation. The accreditation will be assessed by
the Council for:
- Insurance and Financial Standing;
- Health & Safety Arrangements;
- Equality & Diversity;
- Technical Capacity (including the appropriate level of CQC
Registration and Quality Star Rating).
If you wish to be included on the approved providers list for Adults Home
Care and Support Services, please contact Rob.papworth@stockton.gov.uk or
Melanie.smiles@stockton.gov.uk for
the provision of services for learning disabled and / or customers with
mental health.
The Council promotes new business innovation where robust demographic
analysis and market research demonstrates gaps in provision of services
especially from the voluntary and third sectors including local social
enterprises; we look forward to hearing from you.
