Approved Contractors List
Stockton Borough Council manages Approved Lists of Contractors for the following areas:
- Early Years Nursery Provision;
- Works over £6,000 and below £100,000;
- Building Works over £100k;
- Civil Engineering Works over £100k;
- Homecare and Support Services.
To be included on any of the above lists you must apply by contacting the appropriate officer (use links above to specific pages). We ensure that contractors:
- Are suitably qualified to undertake the works required;
- Have processes that comply with the Council's policies on Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities;
- Have the financial and technical capabilities required (including minimum insurance levels).
Inclusion on an approved list will not by itself guarantee work. You
may be invited to submit a quote or tender for a contract to deliver works
or services to SBC and you should be aware that further information may be
required as part of that process.
Companies are subject to suspension and/or removal from the list should it
be found that they do not continue to fulfil the criteria as outlined in
the application form.
